“ My goodness, this is by far the best bakery I have found in Houston. I grew up in Chicago where bakery shops were on every corner and my grandmother had an in at every single one of them. Leaving that area, well it left a big hole in my heart with corner butcher shops, corner bakeries, and corner markets. This little shop has filled that void. Raos has been the highlight Ive been looking for as Ive matured into a grandmother myself. I have welcomed turning 60 as gracefully as I can and with it I have allowed myself certain treats, like pastries in the afternoon with a cup of coffee. This shop has been the only place in my entire life I have been able to drink a cup of coffee black and loved every ounce of it. Its a perfect compliment to any sweet treat I indulge in. Today is a delicious chocolate layer cake. Im sitting outside on a beautiful day enjoying my coffee and my cake and I cant help but think I am satisfied, and Raos is a huge part of this acceptance I am feeling. Im even feeling generous and taking some home for my DH and son, oh, and of course something for me for later ”
“ Love this little bistro! I prefer the less sweet items, so the Thumbprint cookie and the Sand Tart are my faves but my hubby loves all the sugary goodness and peanut butter anything is his favorite. He also had the six layer cakepie thingy. It was huge! And delicious! He also ordered a handcrafted shake using three gelato flavors. It was so yummy! There are adorable decorations and gifts for purchase as well. ”
“ This place is majestic when you walk in! To the left of the entrance has words written like coffee and more and gives the feeling of an old diner and I appreciate that. The place is larger than it looks on the outside and has a very welcoming and comfortable feel, alongside the staff is very kind. I got a tuxedo mocha iced coffee it was very delicious I would recommend it if you were wanting a chocolate taste that said day. The MM cookie I purchased as well was very good and Ive been thinking about it since! However, I look forward to going back due to the large selection of cakes and other pastries that make you want to relinquish your afternoon to strictly cake tasting at this establishment! ”

“ Been patronizing Raos for years, here on Cypresswood, Beaumont and Nederland. Coffee is good and when the Sticky Buns are available, its a great day. Have been in a few times in the past 6 months and was told that they did not make Sticky Buns that day. I have to admit that it made me want them even more. I am pleased to say that the last 2 times we visited recently, the Sticky Buns have been in stock and we took full advantage. The Cherry Turnovers are also just as wonderful. ”
“ I read this place had a good key lime pie, so I took a drive to find out. I didnt know what to expect of this place. It was a delightful little cafe and the staff was friendly. I got a whole pie to go for 20 and it was a very good key lime pie, bit on the tart side but I enjoyed a slice when I got home. I definitely will go back and enjoy lunch or dessert with a coffee or some gelato here. ”

The customer service was great the pastries were good as well and the coffee was my favorite part I got a salted caramel mocha latte, very delicious. Recommend coming to try all that they offer ”
“ its great that they open at 6am for the early birds like my 75 year old father, who loves this cafe. he took me here and the croissant breakfast sandwich was toasted to perfection lightly crispy and flaky on the outside and warm pillowy on the inside. the warmed coffee mugs are a nice touch for your morning coffee and the staff is very friendly. we got a kings cake togo excited to try it and to have local kings cake available! ”
